Ferdinand Marcos Jr., known as Bongbong Marcos, has served as the 17th President of the Philippines since 30 June 2022. The son of former president Ferdinand Marcos and Imelda Marcos, he earlier held the offices of Vice Governor and Governor of Ilocos Norte, Representative of Ilocos Norte's second district, and Senator of the Philippines, and won the 2022 presidential election by a landslide with nearly 59 percent of the vote.
