Norway is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy in Northern Europe, its capital Oslo. A hereditary monarch serves as head of state while an elected Prime Minister heads the government, and the unicameral Storting holds legislative power. Norway is governed under its constitution, in force since 1814.
