Occupy (book)

Occupy is a short study of the Occupy movement written by the American academic and political activist Noam Chomsky, initially published in the United States by Zuccotti Park Press in 2012 as the first title in its Occupied Media Pamphlet Series and republished in the United Kingdom by Penguin Books later that year. It collects Chomsky's Howard Zinn Memorial Lecture given at Occupy Boston, an interview with a New York University student, the text of an InterOccupy conference call, a further interview conducted at the University of Maryland, a tribute to Howard Zinn and legal advice for Occupy protesters from the National Lawyers Guild. Throughout, Chomsky discusses what the Occupy movement is and what it demands, and advocates ways it could gain greater support and achieve governmental reforms.
