Every political, economic or governance doctrine this atlas tracks as its own entity, organized below into eleven families by belief content and function: classic left-right political ideologies, economic-system doctrines, national and state-specific syncretic doctrines, and religious or traditional governance doctrines. Belongs here: a named ideology, doctrine or system of political-economic thought (Liberalism, Juche, Welfare State). Does not belong here: a political party that espouses an ideology, which is an institution entity, or a specific policy enacted under an ideology's influence, which is a policy entity. Several placements here are genuinely contested and are named as calls, not settled fact, in each affected subcategory's own prose and in this wave's research packet.
