Democrats 66, known as D66, is a social-liberal and progressive political party in the Netherlands, positioned on the centre to centre-left of the political spectrum, and a member of the Liberal International and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe. Its name refers to its year of foundation, 1966, when its main objective was to reform the Dutch political system; it later developed a broader social liberal ideology. In the 1967 general election it won seven of 150 seats, the largest total by a new party at the time. Since August 2023 it has been led by Rob Jetten.
