Corey Robin

Political and Economic Theorists

Corey Robin, born in 1967, is an American political theorist, journalist and professor of political science at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He has written books on the role of fear in political life, tracing it from Aristotle through the war on terror, and on the nature of conservatism in the modern world. In The Reactionary Mind, published in 2011, he argues that conservatism from Edmund Burke to the present rests on the principle that some are fit, and so ought, to rule others. A later book studies the jurisprudence of Justice Clarence Thomas.
