Amália Scudeler de Barros Santos was a Brazilian journalist and politician who served as a federal deputy for Mato Grosso for the Liberal Party from 2023 until her death in May 2024. Blind in one eye since age 20 due to complications of toxoplasmosis, she was the driving force behind Brazil's Law 14126 of 2021, known as the Amália Barros Law, which recognized monocular vision as a sensory disability.
