Andrej Babis, born September 2, 1954, in Bratislava, has served as Prime Minister of the Czech Republic since December 9, 2025, a return to the office he first held from 2017 to 2021. He leads the ANO 2011 party, which he has chaired since 2012, and formed his second government in coalition with the Freedom and Direct Democracy party and the Motorists after ANO's victory in the October 2025 parliamentary election, winning a vote of confidence in the Chamber of Deputies. He previously served as Minister of Finance and First Deputy Prime Minister from 2014 to 2017. A businessman before entering politics, he studied international trade at the University of Economics in Bratislava.
