Andris Kulbergs, born May 26, 1979, in Riga, has served as Prime Minister of Latvia since May 28, 2026. An independent representing the United List alliance, he served in the Saeima from November 2022 until his appointment and had an earlier business career in telecommunications and automotive companies, including serving as president of the Latvian Authorised Automobile Dealers Association. President Edgars Rinkevics tasked him with forming a governing coalition after Prime Minister Evika Silina's resignation on May 14, 2026; his four-party coalition was confirmed with 66 votes in the Saeima. He holds a bachelor's degree in international business from Tallinn University of Technology and an MBA from Riga Technical University.
