Delcy Eloina Rodriguez Gomez (born 18 May 1969) is a Venezuelan lawyer, politician and diplomat who has served as interim president of Venezuela since 5 January 2026, the first woman to hold the country's presidency. She assumed executive authority after United States military strikes in Venezuela on 3 January 2026 captured President Nicolas Maduro, when Venezuela's Constitutional Chamber ordered her, as sitting vice president, to assume and exercise as acting president all powers needed to maintain government continuity; she was sworn in two days later by her brother, Jorge Rodriguez, president of the National Assembly. She is a member of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, and both she and Maduro have maintained that he remains the legal officeholder, leaving the governance situation ambiguous.
