Dickon Amiss Thomas Mitchell, born October 8, 1977, in Petit Esperance, Saint David Parish, has served as Prime Minister of Grenada since June 24, 2022, after leading the National Democratic Congress to victory in the 2022 general election with just over 51 percent of the vote and nine of fifteen parliamentary seats. He has led the National Democratic Congress since October 2021, represents the constituency of St David in Parliament, holds the finance portfolio, and chaired the Caribbean Community in the second half of 2024. A lawyer by training, he holds an honours law degree from the University of the West Indies at Cave Hill and a legal education certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School, and practiced law before founding his own firm, Mitchell and Co., in 2017.
