Duro Macut, born November 22, 1963, in Belgrade, has served as Prime Minister of Serbia since April 16, 2025, after being nominated by President Aleksandar Vucic and elected along with his cabinet by the National Assembly. An endocrinologist by profession, he belongs to no political party but co-founded the Movement for the People and the State in March 2025, and previously worked as a professor of internal medicine and endocrinology at the University of Belgrade's Faculty of Medicine and as director of the Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases at the University Clinical Centre of Serbia. He holds a medical degree, a master's degree and a doctorate, all from the University of Belgrade.
