Faustin-Archange Touadera, born April 21, 1957, a mathematician and former prime minister under President Francois Bozize, has served as President of the Central African Republic since March 30, 2016. He won the presidency in a 2015-2016 runoff against former prime minister Anicet Georges Dologuele, was re-elected in 2020-21, and was declared the winner of a third term in the December 2025 election, with the Constitutional Court crediting him with 77.9 percent of the vote.
