Feleti Penitala Teo, born October 9, 1962, has served as the 14th Prime Minister of Tuvalu since February 26, 2024, and has held the parliamentary seat for Niutao since January 26, 2024. A lawyer who sits as an independent, he previously served as Executive Director of the Western and Central Pacific Fisheries Commission from 2014 to 2022, Director General of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency from 2000 to 2006, Deputy Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat from 2007 to 2013, and Attorney General of Tuvalu from 1991 to 2000. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Canterbury and a Master of Laws in public law from the Australian National University. Tuvalu remains a Commonwealth realm under the British monarch, so this wave mints only the office of Prime Minister, the country's real seat of executive power.
