Jonas Gahr Store, born August 25, 1960, in Oslo, has served as Prime Minister of Norway since October 14, 2021, and as leader of the Labour Party since June 14, 2014. He trained as a naval officer at the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy and studied political science at Sciences Po in Paris and international relations at the London School of Economics, and has represented Oslo in the Storting since 2009. Before becoming prime minister he served as Foreign Minister from 2005 to 2012 and Minister of Health and Care Services from 2012 to 2013 under Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg. Following the 2021 election he formed a minority government with the Centre Party; that coalition dissolved in early 2025, leaving him leading a Labour Party minority government.
