Kristen Michal, born July 12, 1975, in Tallinn, has served as Prime Minister of Estonia since July 23, 2024, and as leader of the Estonian Reform Party, of which he has been a member since 1996, since September 8, 2024. He was nominated to form a government after Kaja Kallas left the post to become the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and previously served as Minister of Climate, Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure, and Minister of Justice, having been a member of the Riigikogu from 2004 to 2023. He holds a bachelor's degree in law from University Nord.
