Lawrence Wong Shyun Tsai (born 18 December 1972) is Singapore's fourth prime minister, having assumed office on 15 May 2024 as a member of the People's Action Party. He succeeded Lee Hsien Loong, having previously served as deputy prime minister from June 2022 to May 2024 and minister for finance from May 2021 to May 2024; he is the first Singaporean prime minister born after the country's founding, and holds the distinction of being the highest-paid head of government in the world.
