Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan (born 11 March 1961) is an Emirati royal who has served as the third president of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi since 2022, having already been the country's de facto leader from 2014. The third son of UAE founder Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, he graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1979 and became a general in the UAE armed forces in 2005.
