Mostafa Kamal Madbouly has served as the 54th Prime Minister of Egypt since 2018, appointed by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to succeed Sherif Ismail following that government's resignation. He earlier served as Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities from 2014 to 2019 and briefly as acting prime minister in 2017, and had previously worked with the Housing and Building National Research Center, the General Organisation for Physical Planning and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
