Ndemupelila Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, born October 29, 1952, in Onamutai, then South West Africa, now Namibia, has served as the 5th President of Namibia since March 21, 2025, the country's first female president. She was declared president-elect in December 2024 after winning 58.7 percent of the vote, having already served as Vice President under Nangolo Mbumba from 2024 to 2025 following a long ministerial career that included Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation.
