Pedro Sanchez Perez-Castejon has served as Prime Minister of Spain since 2 June 2018. A member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, he has been its Secretary-General since 2017, having previously held that post from 2014 to 2016, and before becoming Prime Minister served as a Madrid city councillor, a member of Congress and Leader of the Opposition.
