Uday Saddam Hussein (1964-2003) was an Iraqi politician, military leader and businessman, and the eldest son of Iraqi president Saddam Hussein and his first wife Sajida Talfah. He was known for his excessive cruelty, abuse of women and erratic behavior, and was held responsible for human rights abuses that included torture, rape and murder. This atlas's politicalfigure scheme has no bucket for a regime heir who never held the presidency himself; he is filed under Heads of State and Government as the least-wrong fit, given his position at the top of Iraq's one-party state apparatus.
