Wesley W. Simina, born September 10, 1961, has served as the 10th President of the Federated States of Micronesia since May 11, 2023, an office that combines head of state and head of government in the country's presidential system. He previously served as Speaker of the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia from 2015 to 2023, as a congressional member from 2011 to 2023, and as Governor of Chuuk State from 2005 to 2011, having earlier practiced law in Chuuk. He holds a bachelor's degree from United States International University, awarded in 1982, and a Juris Doctor from the William S. Richardson School of Law, awarded in 1988.
