The Mahama Administration is the government of Ghana led by President John Dramani Mahama, who took office on January 7, 2025, after winning the December 2024 general election as the candidate of the National Democratic Congress, defeating incumbent Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia. The victory made Mahama the first president in Ghanaian history to be democratically elected to a non-consecutive second term; he had previously served as president from 2012 to 2017, first assuming the office in July 2012 upon the death of President John Atta Mills before winning the December 2012 election in his own right, then losing his 2016 re-election bid to Nana Akufo-Addo. Since returning to office, Mahama has ordered an investigation into the National Cathedral project, banned non-essential government travel, and suspended the Chief Justice.
